How To Use THX Option on AV reciver?

I Currently have had my AV receiver (Marantz SR9600) For a few
months and was on the understading that the THX option was use for
watching films that where meant for the the cinema. This was fine but
what about if the DVD is THX certifyed I.e star wars and finding nemo?
Has it all ready under gone the equlisation and then put on the DVD? is
so do i enable THX on my reciver or leave it off.

Also Should i
use the THX option on my reciver when im watching any sound traks off a
blueray disc. i.e Dolby true HD ,DTS HD or PCM uncompressed?
