I have a 3yr old set up in an denon 1906 amp and kef 2005.2 speaker config. wiv old denon 1920 dvd player. Am going to buy pana bd80 blu ray player on its release but am going to hook it to existing amp via analogue to get the better blu ray sound experience. there will obviously be a step up in pic quality but i wonder how much better the sound will be. the existing 5.1 set up is already a great listen. should i do it or will the end result be a bit of a let down ?

It should be significantly better - assuming, of course, that Panasonic maintains the high standard of its current products.
