How long have you saved up or waited for a piece of hi-fi equipment?

Just bought a Logitech Squeezebox Touch via Amazon's "Lightning Deal" this week. I've been thinking about getting one ever since it came out. I even asked about it two years ago here: http://www.whathifi.com/forum/computer-based-music/new-logitech-squeezebox-touch-anyone So, two years is the longest wait for me. I hope the SBT is worth the wait!!

We saved for 10 years for the latest upgrade and waited abt 10 weeks for delivery.

Took me 2 whole years to save up for my HT setup.

Currently saving since hearing them in Feb....I've found a product that suits my style, fits in my my room shape and is very pleasing to listen to.

Its going to take a while though.

Ya I was asking about the Squeezebox Touch the other day, coz I was really thinking about getting one, then a friendly chap posted the Amazon link to get 30% off and I missed it by 30 minutes!

I'm still not over it! Grr..

I think the longest I've waited is nearly two weeks cos of the damn postman.

The most agonising wait is between ordering and taking delivery - especially if your new piece of kit does not arrive as promised.

I must have waited months for the decree nisi to come through, then the kit appeared the next weekend! :dance:
