How good is the SAMSUNG LE37R88BD?

Hi I have to get a new plasma/lcd before Christmas for afamily member. I wanted the get the Panasonic TH37PX70 but cant get one at the price or before Christmas. So I am thinking of getting the SAMSUNG LE37R88BD can anyone give me some idea how good it is please.

Our Buyer's Guide shows it as a five-star set, tested in the same, August Supertest the Panasonic won. It's a good budget alternative to the Pana - yes, you can buy better, but not at that price!
