How do you post a link...

...without showing the whole darn link letters and address etc etc. Most of you seem to manage to put up "clickety". I find posting links a little tedious, so could someone show me how to do this, as I'm a complete fossil.

So if I link clickety how do I change to just clickety or whatever title I feel appropriate?

Thanks, PP

Type your word (clickety or whatever), highlight it, which could be easier said than done on a phone or tablet, then click the chain link button above the text field and copy the link address in there.

I can't do it!

That's probably just as well...

Which bit of my instructions didn't you understand?

All of it.

Don't be silly, it's basic english.

I tried to follow what you said, and normally get the hang of things but this I couldn't! I got lost doing the whole thing. Can you break it down more? Cheers.

Try it on your PC / laptop. It's quite tricky on iPad.

I will give it another go later, but I am always on the iPad now. Cheers.

errm, no, I'm not sure I can!

Copy the link address you want,

type a word,

highlight the word,

click the chain button above,

paste the link address.

Click "Insert".

That's it.

And no, I'm not going to tell you how to copy and paste...

That is a bit better!

I think I will be able to do this on my laptop at the very least. Cheers.
