Hi, I thinking of changing my ht speakers and going for B & W all round - not sure whether to go for M1 or 686's for rears - but anyway, my question to you all is - how do i connect my 685's to my stereo amp - for stereo purposes - but at the same time - have them connected to my av amp for movies, i still want to bi-wire them, if possible
Can i do it by using the av amp as a pre-aamp - if so - how? Please be thorough with your explaination! 🙂
Also if i was/could do this would i still be able to control the speakers seperatly from both amps, ie when i'm listening to stereo i can alter the balance from my CA stereo amp, whilst still keeping the sound set-up from my av amp settings when listening to movies.
I hope i've explained what i mean.

Thanks.

Thanks Andrew for your rapid response.

However i take it that there is no way to have one set of fronts contolled by two amps, just thinking about the two different amp 'sounds' - will i still get tonal balance from - when watching movies, one amp doing the fronts, in my case my Cambridge Audio and the Yamaha doing the rest. Not to mention having to fiddle around with the volume left/right balance settings.
I was hoping i could - in a way, let the Yamaha do ALL the speakers when i'm watching movies, then when i'm listening to stereo let the Cambridge Audio do the fronts.
I guess the only other way is to have dedicated stereo speakers connected direct to a stereo amp and the same for Home Theatre use! LOL!! I wish.

Thanks again.
