How do I connect QED silver anniversary cable to Cambridge Audio C1050

I am new to this so this forgive my ignorance.

I have QED silver anniversary cable that I want to connect to my Onkyo TX-SR605 I was advised to buy Cambridge audio 4 mm banana plugs, Looking at the plugs, I can not tell how the cable should connected to the plug, there is a screw out part that opes the hole in the body, does the stripped cable go inside this hole, it looks strange coming in from the side of the plug. and then the plug does not appear to go into the connection on Onkyo, any help would be appreciated.

There should be a small plastic cap on the end of the speaker terminals - use a small flat-bladed screwdriver to prise them off and then you can insert the banana plugs
