I want to listen to Jazz FM and LBC mainly & a bit of Talksport but I can only listen to the former online as I don't have a DAB tuner & I don't really want to get one as I am not impressed with the SQ. I can get LBC on my anologue tuner but not on from my freeview box. Is there a simple solution to listen to the radio sations of choice without getting DAB? I have used my laptop and connected it to my amp via a DAC but I am not sure its the best solution, or is it?

I use the 'TuneIn Radio Pro' app on my iPhone and stream (via AirPlay) to my system.

Jazz FM sounds pretty respectable this way. (128K AAC)

Try Linn Radio Jazz as well. (320K MP3)

Bear in mind that the 128k AAC+ stream of Jazz FM is restricted to 50 listeners. It does sound good through the hi-fi system though.

I read a while ago that Jazz FM were planning to do an 'HD Sound' feed like Radio 3 does. Hopefully this is in the not-too-distant future.

I didn't realise their online streaming service had a restriction of just 50 listeners! Doesn't say much for its popularity because there's never a time I can't get on.
