Hi I hope someone can help me try and connect up all my new home cinema kit.
I have a onyko 606 with jamo A102hcs5.With this I will be useing a panosonic th42px70,ps3,sky+,wii,and a dvdplayer that only has scart. So far I have purchased another HDMI lead and a optical lead. For the speakers I have qed silver xt for the fronts and qed micro for the rears. How do I connect the sub to the amp and what with. Should the speakers go to the amp or the sub. Also do I just use bare wire or buy plugs.Sorry if I am being a bit of a numpty but I have just upgraded from an all in one surrond system and this is far more daunting looking at the back of the amp.

Don't the instructions tell you? Apparently you can connect the sub to amp via line level or speaker cable, I'd use a phono lead from the amp's subwoofer out socket.
Not sure about the speakers though, does the back of the sub have terminals for all speakers. I doubt it, so connect speakers directly to the amp I'd guess.
Bare cable is okay but using bananas help to avoid short circuits with wires touching.

For Sky+, get a good quality Scart and go straight into the back of the TV. Optical cable from sky box to Onkyo. Same for DVD player.

For your Wii, I'd compare which is better - component straight into TV or component into Onkyo delivered to TV via HDMI.

For the subwoofer, you should be able to use the Subwoofer Pre-out on the back of the Onkyo and just hook it up with a good long phono lead.

The instructions for the jamos are terriable.Do I wire the speakers to the amp or sub.

Does anyone have a good subwoofer cable to recommend what are the qed ones like.

I've only ever used a qed p-sw lead and my kit sounds great to me and at just under £30 for a 3m length it's pretty good value IMO
