Hi,

I'm going to purchase some Yamaha HS7s to hook up to my dj mixer. What cables do i need for this? my mixer is pretty basic (although im upgrading soon to an allen and heath xone 42). I'm assuming its just an XLR to phono cable into the mixer that i need?

I've seen some talk about a DI? Do i need this? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

A

Hi Aaron and welcome to the forum.

If your old mixer has XLR-out for the main, I would use these with some decent xlr-xlr cables.

For the Xone you can use the xlr cables also.

Yes.

Try the straight xlr rca converter cable, however if you find that you're not getting volume then you may need a DI/Bump box to boost the voltage.

Anyway. Short answer yes, the cable will most likely suffice and will only cost a couple of quid.
