Home Cinema connection help!!!!

I have checked other posts and I did not find anyone trying to achieve the same thing

I have:

LG HB45e Home Cinema

Sky HD

Sony kdl-40nx503

I want to connect the systems in a way whereby everything will go through surround sound even if I stream moves to my TV via Qriocity (Sony TV download service I can pass the sound to the home cinema) - is that possible?

Looking at the specifications on the LG HB45e it does have the option of Digital (optical) input which is probably what you should connect to the TV optical output.
