Can anyone recommend me a pair of headphones that I can use with my iphone (and to a lesser degree my ipod classic).

Over the years I've tried a few different sets and each have had a number of problems/limitations.

I started off with a set of Shure E2Cs which I quite liked, but found them a real pain to fit, and coupled with the lack of mic for use with my iphone I don't use these too much any more.

I also have a set of Sennheiser MM50s which are very hard wearing (still working after going through the washing machine) and give me a good fit, but to be honest the sound quality just isn't good enough.

Finally I have a set of the new Apple in-ear headphones which are the worst of the bunch. I can't get them to stay in my ears (regardless of the size of ear tip I use) and as a consequence they sound terrible.

What I'm looking for is something that will stay in my ears, has high quality sound and will allow me to answer calls on my iphone.

I thought I had found the answer to all of my questions in the Etymotic HF2s which would be a perfect fit (if I have them custom fitted) but after a little research I'm unsure as a number of people are saying that the build quality is not up to scratch.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

I use Bose in ear headphones with my ipod i have had several JVC and Sonyheadpones as well as some other brands but in the end i prefer the Bose.

If you can stomach the price, the Ultimate Ears Triplefi 10vi sound ideal. The non-microphone version received a rave review from another review site, though I haven't had the chance to try them.

Ultimate Ears do other cheaper headphones with microphones, but not sure how good they are.

Also, Shure make a music phone adapter that should work with your Shures. Again, never tried it myself, and not sure if it'd work with your iPhone.
