they have one for cars, even mountain bikes, but why isnt there a book/guide for used hifi stuff, namely the holy trinity, of speakers, amp and cd player.
if there was a traders manual for hifi, namely the big three of speakers amp and cd player ( am too working class for sacd/dac ) where the item, ie speaker, could have its new price, private buyers price, and ex shop price, a rating when it came out and a current day rating, ie monitor audio gr60, $4000 2002, £600 today and how it would compare to a new pair of £600 speakers.
it could have stuff like good for close to walls, doesnt like wooden floors, needs space, fussy with kit/not fussy with kit, needs valve amp to be best/not fussy, and so on.
im sure it would be a winner and every hifi nut or budding nut in my case would buy it in a heartbeat, so how come such a guide doesnt exist.
