Sorry guys. Think I screwed up the opening here.

I have a dilema. I need a good source of 845 triodes and I don't want to pay the prices normally associated with rocking horse manure!!.

I can get 211s for about £40 each but can't even find anyone with 845s unless they're in matched pairs in a nice wooden box!!. To hell with that. I want the valves, not the bling.

Any ideas please. Appreciated.

Ebay via China. How much are you envisiging laying out ?. Mate of mine got a pair of Psvane Standards for just over a Ton. Ask the seller to write Happy Birthday on the package , thats what I do and have avoided customs every time ,lol.

Just had a look on Watford Valves site. £95.00 each and they only supply in pairs!!!!. Extortionate.

Ya know the stupid thing Floyd??. The 211 and the 845 come out of the same factory. The only difference is the 211 has an Ra of 4400 ohms whereas the 845 Ra is 1700 ohms. Rocking horse manure!! The new replacement for snake oil :rofl:

I wouldn't mind so much if the 211 was a comparable price but it's miles off.
