Help with settings please?

I have a virgin media box connected to my Sony W324000 and just wanted to know if by selecting (noise reduction, MPEG noise reduction, adv contrast enhancer and live colour) OFF if that should give better picture overall? I have already done this but dont really notice any difference.
Any help would be appreciated guys

It sounds to me as if your tvs new. Just keep the settings as they are and watch it for a month. If your not happy then maybe turn on noise reduction (As some channels are awful via virgin)

If its a standard box connected via scart, you might want to consider a decent scart cable
