help with connection

I plan to buy a bluray player as I feel it prudent the way things are heading.

My problem?I plan to use my Arcam hifi for sound.Does anyone foresee particular problems?Which player is the best suited.

Any player with a stereo (2 channel) output should work. You will not get the full surround effect but it'll probably sound a lot better than the speakers in your TV

Hi, I have the new sony bluray player and run it through my hi-fi system.

It sounds great and I can see you having no problem running a player through yours.
