Hi Looking at the Panasonic SCBT 200 - is that a good start ?

Now daft question time , will I need copious amounts of speaker cable to wire it all up ?

And do I just need two HD connectors one from the Blue ray to the TV and one from the blue ray to the amp (sorry very new at all this)

For the Connectors I've been told Cambridge Audio are worth a punt , any other advice.

All info welcome.

Thanks

G

The Panasonic comes with speaker cable, and has a Blu-ray player built-in. So all you will need is an HDMI cable to connect to your TV.

Hi there! The amount of speaker cable will depend on where you are placing the speakers, you shouldn't need much speaker cable to hook up the front two and the centre, it's the rears where more will be needed. The speaker cable does come with the system.

I believe it's just one HDMI from the Blu Ray/Amp (its all-in-one) to the Tv. Obviously if you have Sky+ HD or Virgin and you want them to run through your system, then you will need an optical cable also.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback , is this a decent system to start with ??

A mate bought the Sony BDV-E300 and he says it's awesome. It's worth looking at I reckon.
