Help please Arcam remote CR100

Hello, I hope you can help me. I was trying to program my TV in the remote but, as I was following the commands, the remote blinked and stop funcioning properly. I have tryied to reset back to standards following the instructions on the manual but it does not work. None of the inputs function, ex. when I click on Tun, Cd, dvd, nothing happens, the receiver does not change input, not even the radio. It does not even work for the amp commands. Anybody know ho to restore to factory settings? I have tried to follow the instructions in the manual several times but, it does not work.

Well, assuming the batteries haven't died or become loose - worth trying another set? - and the reset command -

1. Press and hold SHIFT until the power LED blinks twice
2. Press 980. The power LED blinks four times

- doesn't work, sounds like the remote may have developed a fault.

Thanks Andrew, I have tried but, does not work. I have just sent an e-m to them, hope there is a way to fix it. For the timebeign I will have to put on my gim clothes and go to the receiver everytime I want to change something :-((.

Some remotes will de-programm if the batteries are left out for a couple of hours. Worth a try.

Thanks, I will give it a try. I will take out the batteries tonight and cross my fingers.

It did not work! :-(( Anybody has any idea how long does a remote need to be without batteries to return back to factory settings? Any other thougts? Thanks.

I have sent them an e-m but, I did not call because from Spain it could get quite expensive. If I do not get a reply this week, I will try with the spanish dealer. Thanks.

Hi there I happen to have the same problem! The remote blinks twice (on the power button) but nothing happens most of the time as if the data is not reaching to my Arcam Solo Movie 2.1... this unit is less than one year old! I wasnt even programming the remote at all it just happened one day. The remote still works though on some main functions but I have to press like 3 times on the specific button for it to work (eg AMP/ DVD or Volume). Ive tried resetting the remote changed batteries but still no luck. Its really annoying as I depend so much on the remote.

Have the exact same problem. Have emailed Arcam support but havent heard back. Will probably take it to the shop where I purchased the Solo Movie 2.1 system tomorrow. Really annoying ...

I've got the older CR80 remote that came with the Arcam AVR250 - on that a double blink means "Please replace batteries" - I seem to remember my first pair of batteries ran out fairly quickly (lots of programming, older batteries in box, lots of fiddling with amp...)

Just a thought...

I believe it is a known problem with the remote. Arcam support emailed me back and wanted to give me a new one right away. They cant since I don't live in the UK but in Denmark, but the distributor will replace the remote. No questions asked or nothing...
