HELP, No sound form speakers or amp recognising them

Hi

Someone please help, I have recently purchased the following,

Amp - Yamaha A1020, Speakers - B&W MT50D, TV - Panasonc TX-P42GT60D, Budget bluray in anticipation of PS4, Virgin Tivo. Wiring - audio quest forest hdmi cables, QED original speaker wiring and QED profile sub.

I set up and everything was working fine without tweaks as a new carpet and sofa where on there way. They have now been delivered and everything reset up but now the amp gives out test tones but after saving it only plays through the telly. It doesnt display the speakers on the front panel.

Has anyone comes across this problem or shed some light on what to do. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hiya Dan ,

Don't know your gear at all , but I'm guessing you disconnected everything for the carpet , all I can say is check you haven't pressed in a mute or zone 2 or a headphone or tape mon button , speakers must be wired if you get the test tone

Many thanks for the response but no joy. I will try Yamaha and see if they can help
