Help me with speaker upgrade please...

Hi, I'm new here! Ok, so I have owned an Arcam Solo for a few years for which I bought a pair of excellent Alto speakers. I love their openness and transparency but, being very small, they're lacking a bit in bass extension and I'm looking at a relatively inexpensive replacement; budget up to £500 and I'll consider floorstanders as well as standmounts. My musical preferences are small-group jazz and acoustic guitar with occasional deviations into classical.

All suggestions gratefully received.

I agree with looking at a sub but i'd also consider the M/A BR2's, the Rega RS3's and the B&W CM1's with your taste in music.

What speaker cable do you use? A change in that could offer a more open soundstage as well!
