Help! How to force tv sound to come through the sound system?

I’ve got the Sony KDL-40W4000 which hooked through an HDMI cable to Onkyo 705 receiver, which connected with KEF Iq audio Speaker system. All are coming in a good way – dvd, cd player work and sounds great, nevertheless I can not force the TV to broadcast his sound through the receiver to the speaker system. I’ve done all possible ways in line with both manuals, but there is no TV sound ? Help me please with this problem.

The HDMI connection between the receiver and the TV is an output one only. You need to connect either an analogue or a digital (optical) cable from the TV's audio outputs to a suitable input on the receiver. I'd go for the digital.
