Help ! hdmi connection help from pc to tv

can anyone help a friend that has this question?

Hi All i need some help my dads new computer was connected by HDMI cable from computer to tv all working good but once the cable was removed and then plugged back in and turned on the message on screen was no signal ,can anyone help me please ,im stuck

Have you tried simply plugging it in and rebooting so it can 'see' it at boot up?
