You should be able to read all the reviews on the main site, so I would start there based on your budget. You didn't say what you had to connect though. As you have some half decent Wharfedale speakers, I assume you'll be using it for music too. Can you demo? The usual suspects would apply here i.e.:
Denon 1909 (prices due to rise soon) - 3 hdmi inputs
Onkyo 606 - (prices back up) - 4 hdmi inputs
Sony 2400ES - 4 hdmi inputs
Marantz SR4003 - 2 hdmi inputs (no HD audio decoding but can accept LPCM from the right bluray player using player decoding)
Yamaha 763 - 2 hdmi inputs (current WHF fave - in short supply)
Pioneer VSX-1018 - 2 hdmi inputs (should be available under budget if you look e.g. tlcbroadcast)
I don't think the Marantz SR**03 range has been reviewed on WHF yet but from reading reviews elsewhere, the sound quality is meant to be top notch and quoted power levels are accurate and are meant to be good all rounders and sound excellent with music. Unfortunately the 4003 lacks HD audio decoding, you would need to look at the more expensive 5003 for that.
I would strongly suggest a demo if you can though. Enjoy!
