hi, does anyone have any suggestions about buying a headphone amplifier my audiolad 6000a amplifier only has a Pre-out RCA left/right to connect to a headphone amplifier, so i am looking for one that will connect to the audiolabs pre-out conncetions, my buget is around £350 ish new or second hand,thank you tony

I owned the HD650 for about 6 years. They respond very well to warmish class A amps. They also reward good tube amps.

If you just want a neutral amp with no coloration then there are a bunch of choices now. Any of the newer amps based on the THX amp circuit from Monoprice, Drop ( Massdrop ) or SMSL. Topping makes very competitive amps without the THX module. Geshelli Labs, JDS Labs.
