Headphone amp or not?

Hi all, well as some of you may or may not know, the Vincent SV237 doesn't have a headphone out so I'm using the Yamaha AS500 for headphone duties and all is well..until today when I saw the SPL Phonitor 2 holy hell, for looks alone it killed me. Anyway, does anyone have one of these or has heard one? I love the idea of the cross-feed as even with the Oppo PM1's I find they could do with some .. well, cross-feed! 🙂 Would this unit totally relegate the Yamaha into the well-known auction site or would the difference be marginal? I don't mind splashing the cash but if it's only gonna be a slight improvement it won't happen. Any comments welcome - thanks guys.

I like accurate, although that's not my mission, and I definitely go for different. I also like to have control so that unit won't be on the shortlist.
