I've been looking at getting a new media player/streamer for a while now and have come across this machine, well actually a newer model is just coming out. I'm going to America in a couple of months and thought that getting one out there might be cheaper. Now, I know that power and voltage and the like is important to factor and I am clueless about this sort of thing. The spec says this,

Package Content:
1 x HDX 1000 Player
1 x HDMI Cable
1 x Remote control with batteries
1 x 110~240 power supply
1 x User Guide

Does this mean that the power supply will work fine? Might I need a plug adapter and that's it?

Many thanks to anyone who can answer this.

Andrew Everard:If it's a multivoltage supply there should be no problems.

And at $219 it looks like a pretty good buy.

Cheers Andrew - my thoughts exactly. I don't suppose you know or can find out if when this unit was tested, it played bit perfect audio? My current player (WM extender) passes any file on to my DacMagic at 48khz.

Well, that would be really down to what you use for ripping the content. But yes, once the content is there, the unit will stream it.
