HDMI vs SCART

Have problem that I am trying to get 3 hdmi into 2 hdmi inputs, using a qed switching box which is proving a lot of hassle, as the recognition signal is not reaching the tv when I turn the skyhd or dvd on via the switching box, so has to be switched manuelly via the remote ( still helpfull that someone here can offer a solution ). So, if I remove the switching box, connect dvd and skyhd into the hdmi terminals, and then connect my theatre system via a scart lead, will a scart lead offer 1080p resolution ? ( it has a built in dvd plyer, panasonic.).

in a word no. you wont get 1080p via scart
