Setting up Sky +HD and Blue Ray to Tv and projector for first time.
I will need a decent 9m HDMI to connect to the projector and at least
two 1m HDMI's for the other connections.

I want something that will
give me good value for money without breaking the bank and after
scouring the net for days I am really none the wiser as to relative merits of
high end cables and the middle of the range stuff. . Any help or
suggestions would be really welcome. Thanks

You'll find lots of HDMI cable discussions on these forums - just do a search for HDMI and prepare to be inundated.

The only thing I'll say here is make sure that whatever cables you buy, especially for the 9m run, are certified as conforming to the HDMI 1.3 standard, and capable of carrying 1080p video, over that length.

1m lengths of HDMI cable do not need to be expensive, personally I would not spend more than £10.00. Have a look at Amazon, Electrics and type in HDMI, you will find cables of 1.3 quality for a very reasonable price. The important one is your 9m length. That needs to be a good quality cable for the length that the signal will travel.

bluejeanscables, tmfsolutions.co.uk, ukhdmi.com and hdcable.co.uk should be able to sort you out and should be able to guarantee the 9m run will work. If you're chasing the cable in a wall, I would spend a bit more to hopefully guarantee a better quality cable.
