I would like to know, now the PS3 can send DTS-HD MA, what is the choice in home cinema receivers to make the very most of Blu-Ray?

Still the Onkyos (605 and 875) I reckon, although new models are on the way. The new SR606 is apparently due at the end of this month, but we haven't heard it yet. Denon and Yamaha are still keeping very quiet, and not much news from Arcam on the receiver front either. Think they're all playing catch-up.

It doesn't - it decodes it and outputs it as LPCM. So the receiver choices remain as before - I'd still be looking at the Onkyo TX-SR875 or TX-NR905 as top choices.

Thanks guys, the PS3 fora seem to be getting their facts wrong on the HD audio. So all I would need would be a 7.1 receiver capable of receiving multi channel PCM.

Where does the Yamaha RX-V3800 stand in relation to the onkyo offerings?

Any suggestions other than the Onkyos, I find their fascias rather offensive.

The new yamaha 763 (£500) is out at the end of this month, less offensive in my my eyes and may give the onkyo a run for its money in the sound department... just have to wait and see
