Having finally upgraded to an HD ready TV I am considering upgrading my Virgin service with a V+HD box. The selection of channels available on my package (L) in HD is pretty meagre and I don't really want to upgrade to an XL pack. Perhaps a silly question but am I likely to see a difference to the standard channels through the HDMI connection on the V+ box compared to my current scart connection which is through a good quality QED performance scart lead?

I certainly noticed the difference when I switched from my trusty Pace Sky+ to a shiny new Sammy HD.
When you are using HDMI, the signal stays in the digital domain whereas with SCART, you are using analogue signals.

In saying that, HDMI will show up the awful quality of some of the less disconcerning channels . . . .
