Hope the team can help with this (perhaps slightly paranoid) question! I have a set of Kef 3005SE speakers (bought new, 1 week old, 8 ohm impedence, power handling 10-100W) connected to a Denon 1909 amp (90W output per channel at 8 ohms). The volume range of the amp goes from
-80DB to +18DB. Yesterday the volume button on the Denon remote got stuck and I accidentally turned the system up painfully loud to 0 DB or just under. Although the amp theoretically delivers less output than the speakers can handle, is it possible I have damaged them? I only ask this as the centre channel seems ever so slightly quieter on dialogue, though this could well just be my imagination. When running Audyssey setup, the bleeps and bloops certainly seemed loud enough! Many thanks.
