Does the harmony one replace sky as well?

I have 4 remotes (TV. AMP, blu-ray and sky) but I can operate the TV, blu-ray and amp all from the amp remote (with exception of the odd hardly used button) ?

I bought a £85 universal remote a few years ago (cant remember the make or model) and it was "ok" apart from it went through a set of batteries every week

Yes the Harmony One replaces Sky. If you go to the logitech site you can check whether your specific items of equipment work with it or not.

It has replaced all my remotes - once set up.

If you want to do sub menus etc then you may have to go back to the product supplied remote, but for every day use it is all that I use now - absolute bliss !

One important thing is not to switch things on and off without the remote as it remembers what is on and what is off and you can confuse it - but it has a help / fix it function when needed.

On the battery front it is lithium rechargeable via the suppied cradle which you can stash out of sight - I put mine on charge once a week even with reasonable use this seems to suffice.

Sounds good. Must admit its a bug bear of the wifes that she cant just pick up one remote and use it. She's usually to be found turning up the volume on the sky remote and nothing happens, or she will turn off the amp and leave the tv switched on.
