Is thee any news on the UK version. It was supposed to be in this month but it all seems to have gone quiet.

Seem to think there is a rumour about iTunes carrying HD from July. If true, this would effectively kill the competition. There again, it's a rumour. I don't use iTunes generally but my wife does. I've,also been on the HD Tracks site and can't find any info about the UK roll out.

My advice: try it out. I'm from the Netherlands, and recently I tried it again. And guess what: this time I was able to buy stuff where this was not possible in the past!

I was able to buy an album recently using my Australian Visa card. Some of the content comes up saying locked by region, but my VPN sneaks me through. 😉

I would advise waiting for official news rather than trying to get in via a backdoor hack. But I empathise with the frustration. We often seem to be last to get everything. We're still waiting for iTunes Radio yet, and it's so old news now that anyone over here who wanted it has probably already subscribed to an alternative service. Then you get such as NetFlix where when we did finally get it, we got a stripped-to-the-bone skeletal catalogue of old shEDITED that reads like the pound-rack in Wilkinson's.

EDIT: just remembered, there are other HD sites based in the EU which we can buy from. Can't remember their URLs though. Anyone?

Its a weird site, sometimes it lets you buy and then not other times, also some resolutions are available but not others of the same album. If you want to buy an album I would try it several times and it may accept your order.
