The grounding spade recently came off the phono cable which cables my deck to my amp. The cable is internally attached to the deck. Hunted high and low for a replacement spade without success. Can anyone help?
Also; I have no soldering kit so if I manage to find a spade is there a way to attach the spade to the phono cable with the use of solder?

Thanks

Spade is just for convenience, strip the wire back about 2” and twist the strands together, then wrap the bare cable around the earth pin on the amp and tighten it up so that the wire is compressed on the terminal.

Also you might find it plays back fine without the earthing cable connected.
even expensier turntables if not earthed it sounds always bad at the minimum a hum beneath the sound all the time a turntable without earth is a a "avoid it"problems for sure will or are already there

not correct. I have no issues not running a earth cable. used to use the one in the provided cable but have just changed to a better cable and no problems.

this is not to say it will work with all set ups.
