Grado 325 VS RS1

Does or anyone compared the two or the PS500 how much of a upgrade would that be over the 325's? Im using a cyrus SE with psx and a creek obh 21SE as a head phone amp, thanks

It's been a long time since I had my Grado 325, but I do remember the sound as being good - nearly as good as a Sennheiser 600 or 650, which speaks well of Grado. But the PS-500 - well, you wouldn't believe me if I told you. Check out some of the reviews on Google and search for "Grado PS 500 review". I love 'em.

Thanks for the reply I can get the Grados at dealer cost so for 650 canadian dollars. I heard there good and a different sound that the other series for previous, thanks!!! This is hard to answer some times but how did they sound different

Well to me the thing that makes the PS-500 such a winner is (...where do I start...) -- first off the sound is so smooth that nothing will bother you if you listen all day long. Then the tonal qualities are so real that the instruments and voices seem to be "right there", not somewhere else behind a microphone. Surely there is no perfect headphone, then again with the PS-500 I find myself having no concern about perfection.
