Got iPhone on Sunday.. Thinking about connections..?

Got an iPhone on Sunday (as title suggests

Is it worth getting one of the docs and connecting to my Marantz SR5003 to use the dac in this, which has F L+R pre outs to Kandy K2 amp

Or Just go for the Russ Andrews GQ-24, and connect straight to the K2, as using a CD in the Kandy K2 CDP, should in theory be much better for sound quality, so go for the cheaper and less fuss option?

So would it be worth it? Or maybe am I better not even bothering to connect the iPhone to the hifi (although, could see it being usefull for random playlists)?

Also, slightly off topic, but anyone know of some decent, in-ear headphones I could use with it? I've got the Grado SR60's, but their too big to take out anywhere (Jut use them late in evening).

For only £26 up (£47 up with RCA phono), it is worth taking a punt on the GQ-24. I am going to try one soon.
