The Colour of Spring - Talk Talk

I am not a great fan but it is a joy to listen to.........any other stuff that the production is all...

Just listened to that cd again just know wickerman, great sound! Check out their next album spirit of eden. I have hundreds of albums in my collection where the production is amazing! At the moment listening to Mike Oldfield`s Crises unbeleivable dynamics

Too many to mention, but the vocal harmonies and string arrangements for Julie Feeney's "Pages" album are very impressive.

This is a re-post but Tori Amos new winter collection is stellar. Solo piano vocals is top notch big band instrumentals, solid bass lines well centered. There are some really good songs re-done with English and NA and traditional stories behind them.

Either Talk Talk's "Spirit of Eden" or "Laughing Stock" are similarly great productions. Also on an artistic level these two albums are a step up from "Colour of Spring" - good as that album was.

I would also recommend any of David Sylvian's 1980s albums - a good place to start would be his solo debut "Brilliant Trees".

Finally you can't go wrong with the Scottish Band "The Blue Nile" - originally on Linn (yes the Hi-Fi company) Records. All of the Blue Nile albums are superb - but if you pick one try "Hats" from 1989 - it is one of my favourite Hi-Fi demo discs.
