Freeview TV Quality

I want a new LCD TV mainly for TV viewing and occasional DVD use. I was in a major dealer recently and they told me I was better off without a 1080p TV as you get better TV picture quality on a 1920 * 768 TV. Does everyone agree with this?

If they ment to watch freeview on, they were talking BS

What you need is a decent 'scaler' (the software/hardware used to 'scale' the image to fir your screen)

Some 1080 screens have bad scalers just as some have good ones
