I have just bought a Foxsat HDR in preparation for going digital. I intend to use this deivce for recording as I am going to buy a Panasonic TXL37G10 LCD which has its own Freesat tuner. Before I get the guys in to install the dish, I need to know how many cable runs are needed from the LNB. It would appear that I need three, bvut, on the back of the Foxsat is an "LNB out" socket which, according to the manual, is for "connecting to another digital satellite receiver". I have spoken to Humax, who assure me that this output is intended for loopthrough use when a single LNB feed cable is available.

Which is right - the manual or the Humax customer service department? Do I need three cables or can I use a patch lead from the Foxsat to the TV?

You need 3 cables, the LNB out is for loop through on single cable installations, though you could use the LNB out for connection to another tuner but it severely limit's functionality so wouldn't go there tbh.
