Apologies for hijacking this thread, I hope you don't mind me sharing. I was looking for a good second hand Denafrips deal after losing out to another buyer, I came across this Esoteric SACD player while browsing, looks amazing and so is the costs!

I recently purchased second hand Onkyo SACD player C-55VL, don't have Onkyo paying me or giving me free gifts (!) 😉 , but have to say, the sound quality is so good for so little costs.

There is traction, a new found interest in owning vinyl, CDs etc as an alternative to streaming. I see it as a compliment, one is not exclusive of the other. I started building up my SACD/CD collections. Interesting trend... 🙂

Not a bad price for something that was around $8500 when launched but it could be twenty years old....

I believe the seller two years ago had the laser and tray replaced. Pretty old girl.
AIso saw on eBay similar priced second hand Technics and Yamaha SACD.

I'm glad I paid little for the Onkyo, it means I can invest more on an top end DAC, preferably true 1 bit R2R.
