i need an amp to power some floorstanding mission 703 speakers any suggestions and do i need a pre amp or an integrated am new to hifi and would welcome constructive advice thanks

What have you got powering them already?
Do you have a CD player, or something else to use as a source for the music?
If so, an integrated amp is what you need. A pre/power amp will be total overkill for these speakers.
Something like a NAD C315BEE or a Cambridge Audio 340A will do the job well. 2nd hand, I would look at something like a Cyrus 2.
