Floor standing speakers for Teac DR-H300DAB DVD

Hi. Can anyone recommend some good floor standing speakers to go with my new Teac? I currently have some Bose ACOUSTIMASS 3 speakers (which the wife loves!!). I mainly listen to music and the occasional film. I thought about stand mounted speakers such as the Aelite 2's or BR2's but the wife things are little one will knock them off quite easliy, even with stands filled with sand. I like the look of the BR5's. My room is 12ft x 13ft. Many thanks.

Depends on your budget, but I like the Tannoy Mercury F4 very much (about £350). The Diamond 9.4 is another option, as is the Q Acoustics 1050 (both around the £200 mark). Don't know the MS or MA equivalents..........

Cheers for this. Budget is £300-£400 including cable. Do you think the Teac will drive these well enough?

The Tannoy and Q Acoustics would be fine, the Wharfedale would be harder, they're quite a bit less sensitive. With that budget, consider the Epos M15 as an alternative to the Tannoy, which would probably be my first choice.
