Flexy Table +

I found this useful site a while back and after some thought I decided to build the Flexy Table or at least a half size version - http://www.humblehomemadehifi.com/Flexy.html

My system used to be on an old heavy cabinet before I put it on the new homemade rack and most of the deep bass I used to have has disappeared? Dynamics though are better than the previous setup. So, my question is has anyone seen something like this before, built one of these or currently use one of these and what are your thoughts on the change in sound quality if any?

I've got something similar, but I did not make it, I purchased it. I've noticed zero sound difference. My kit used to sit on a wood end table. Amp and CD player were stacked.

Its pretty easy to make, not quite as industrial as the flexy table+ but does the job a goodin.
