Hello,

I have backed up some of my CDs onto my laptop for convenience using Exact Audio Copy in flac form and now my onboard windows or Real player will not play them, should I re-do them in wav form or do I need to get another player?

Hope you guys can help.......

plenty of advice here already, but for what its worth im using winamp right now. i was using wmp, but found issues with the way it displayed FLACs tag info - winamp has sorted that for me.

I currently use Winamp 5.54 and J River Media Jukebox 12 and have used Foobar2000 and Media Monkey in the past, all support FLAC files. The added bonus is they all have asio support which improves the sound. Foobar2000 and Winamp use a plugin (Media Monkey uses the same plugin as Winamp) and J River Media Jukebox has it built in. I use it with the asio4all software but decent soundcards have native support.

It's best to download them all, import a few albums and try them out. They all have their good and bad points in their usability.
Enjoy
