Fix or buy?

Hello out there...

i am a proud owner of a plasma Pioneer 4280XA, the 8th generation of Kuro line.

Recently the tv had problems, and in pioneer assistance they told me that i have to spent almost 600€ to fix it.

My question is, for that money i buy the Panasonic 46G30.....

Is this panasonic better over the pioneer???? Should i buy the 2011 model from Panasonic, or fix the Kuro?

The Panasonic is no longer available in the reseler..... Too bad in Portugal the 50 GT50, is not commercialized..... Only the VT series....

Fixing the Pioneer will be....
