Funny thing about this particular video - I use the Nikon Coolpix 'A' now with APS-C sensor, so the noise is minimal, but it never occurred to me that the video would use the EV +/- settings from the stills settings. So this video was darker than it should be, but still usable which is a testimony to the quality of that camera. Oops - we were talking about earphones, weren't we? The thing that concerns me is not so much that the FI-BA-SS had a coloration anywhere in its range, which might be easily addressable with add-in equalizers for some players. It's that fact that the emphasis was so large and spanning the most sensitive part of the spectrum - the presence range. I read quite a few other reviews (the few that were available and expressed any detail), and the reviewers all skirted around the issue with comments about the "amazing presence and detail" etc., but not one of those atempted an explanation for the sound. So that leaves myself and the Innerfidelity guy in explaining colorations? Seems like someone else should be doing that as well.
