Whilst pondering the question of "is R A KIMBER Select KS-3038" **THE** most expensive cable in the world:-

In an idle moment of boredom, I thought I would try to gather together all the different brands and qualities of speaker cable.
So I started at the budget end, but I didnt get very far (see list below), before I realised this is not a 3 minute job. {Has anyone actually tried this foolish idea? If so how many cables did you come up with?}

So, on to plan B

Bearing in mind my (truly) shiny QUAD 11L2's are still connected via my 20 year old unbranded 2.5mm cable (probably 79 strand, and cost less than 50p/m)

Starting at the bottom end - What price range would I stop noticing an adverse affect on the sound.
Likewise, at the upper end and bearing in mind the speakers, what upper price range would I stop hearing any benefits?

In advance - Ta muchly

This @ 1.20/m

This @ £1.87/m

This @ 1.79/m

This @ 1.99

This @ 2.75/m

This @ 2.99/m

This @ £4.40/m

.... I give in!

My contribution would be the following:

http://www.bluejeanscable.com/

The Blue Jeans LC-1 is a great buy, and way better than my previous Chord Crimson for half the price. Delivered in a couple of days from Seattle. Bullet proof build quality. A good no BS site.

I have noticed many high-end cable companies don't publish the electical characteristics of their cable. Blue Jeans have no such reticence....
