I'm looking for a sub to compliment my system which is powered by an Onkyo TX-SR875, Epos ES22's for the fronts and Mission 77's for the rears and centre. I have found a good deal on the Epos ELS sub which would match my fronts perfectley but I dont know how good they are for movies. Does anyone have any experience, or for that matter, suggestions?

I've just got one of these, but I'm using it for music only. Very pleased with it so far, good clean sound and plenty of scope for adjustment via the controls. Not too familiar with alternatives, but I suspect that you could get more room shaking alternatives... but not at such an attractive price.

The What Hi-Fi review, in case you haven't seen it, is here:

Thanks for that, very helpfull, good reveiw too. Not to sure how a large room is determined, mine is 5m x 5m which I guess is about average, do you think the sub will be okay in a room this size?

The manual suggests it for rooms of 10-20 m2, but I think it will work fine with your room size if set up properly. By the way, you can also download the product manual from here:

Thanks for all your help.

I have ordered the sub and will be setting it up on Saturday, assuming I have it by then. I'll let you know how it performs.

I managed to get the sub hooked up on Wednesday night and it works great in my room (25m2). I have listened to it with music and for movies and for the money, it's excellent, under £200 from Superfi!

Thanks for you help, I would most likely ended up spending far more on a sub when I really didn't need to
