Easy TV audio

I'm going to buy the Sony 2400es receiver and Kef 2005.3's this weekend, should my local stockist confirm my order. Very much looking forward to the delivery, but there's one thing that I've been wondering.

My girlfriends 6 year old daughter usually gets up early of a morning, wanting to watch TV. At the moment she struggles if I've been playing on my 360 and forgot to switch AV channels to Sky HD. So getting a receiver could cause a whole world of problems. My question(s) are this:

(i) Is it possible to have the audio from the HD box just coming out of the TV (don't really want to have 5.1 Winnie the Pooh booming out at 6:30am)? HD box straight to tv, and optical to receiver?

(ii) Would an all in one remote (thinking of the Harmony One or 555) make the solution easier? Again, don't want the full 5.1 booming out early doors

Ideally I'd have the HD box linked up to the receiver, just not sure if I can send another RCA cable from the HD box to the TV that will pick up stereo sound for the little one (I've got a Tosh 32WLT66S by the way)

Any help / idea would be appreciated, thanks!

No problem Andy. If you have hdmi from Sky HD straight to tv, you will get sound and vision - she can turn the volume up with the Sky remote.

And you can also do the same if you connect to the receiver. You just need to select on your receiver's settings that you want to receive audio from the screen and the receiver. I leave it so that it's just the receiver because I get annoyed when the volume is left on the tv and I get two volumes going at once.
