Dynaudio active speakers - domestic vs studio monitors

How suitable are the Dynaudio BM6A Active speakers for domestic use? They'll be in a small room, about 15 square metres in size, and mounted high on the wall. A local dealer has them in stock so I can give them a listen, but I was wondering what other people thought.

Has anyone heard them?

I like the Dynaudio Excite passive speakers but i don't know how the BM6A active sounds. I'm also intrested in active speakers, i wonder how they sound. I'm also intrested in active studio monitors from yamaha...

They are not very expensive and get good comments when i googled them.

Well, now I know.

The BM6As are great speakers in many ways but oh so revealing. Might be the original files (I was using my trusty Nokia N900 as the source), but they certainly revealed any cracks in the recording, especially at the top end. Some Shivaree sounded spitty, which I've never heard on other systems before.

I couldn't live with them, anyway. I'll try the 110As next.

Mind you, there are rumours that Naim may be producing some small actives.....
